Waterloo High School Reviews
Rating 3.65 out of 5 55 reviews
The priorities of the administration need to be shifted, staff members spend more time harassing students over insignificant issues rather than addressing relevant issues. A prime example of this is when a male student peeped into the women's bathroom, this was reported yet with no repercussions. School Policy is more important to the administration than the safety and mental state of Waterloo students.
Administration communication is excellent and encouraged. Academically challenging and rewarding - my experiences have been solid for one child who is advanced and my other who requires much guidance and assistance. Opportunities for extracurricular activities of many interests. My kids feel included even though they are so differently academically, artistically, physically, and socially. Great focus on college prep with inclusion and informational awareness for parents.
Waterloo High School is a 9-12 grade school that strives to have their students excel both academically and athletically. They place high importance on education, but the administrators sometimes fall short of looking past students' academic performance. It consists of primarily white students and I have had four different principals during my four years here, which makes it especially hard. Overall, it isn't the worst school and it's a good place to get a high school education.
