Waterford Mott High School is one of those schools everyone knows everyone...No one is left out. Waterford mott make sure Everyone is being treated the same nobody the consequences. Waterford mott tries to pull out things to make the student all socialize with each other once in a while so everyone get a break. The teachers are mostly respected and are very talented! The Staff are always joyful and willing to help. The school it’s self of very diverse, there’s tons of different jump types so no one is left out. Waterford mott has tons of clubs, Sports, classes, etc to choose from. Boys basketball made it to finals and won before the pandemic took over! Waterford mott has a wonderful music/art program, theres ton of talent here.
Waterford Mott High school can easily be described as toxic, from the poor teaching, to the inconsiderate staff, dirty hallways, bullies, etc. My experience at the school was honestly very poor, the teachers almost don't care about their jobs at all which is probably why the graduation rate and students heading to college is so low. All in all it was not a good experience.
Pretty average high school experience. Generally more focused on athletics rather than academics. Offers advanced classes, you just have to ask about them.
It is a fairly basic public school. it could be a lot worse but its also not the peak of public academia. there's a wide variety of people and beliefs living within and even if it has its flaws people still care about it and it definitely shows.
At Mott everyone fits in. This is the what i liked most about this school, there was not clicks and it seemed like everyone got along. What i think could change is the building itself. The bathrooms/classrooms were found to constantly be dirty.
What I like about my high school is how involved the teachers are in students life’s. It helps build a connection and confidence. I also like how they offered several AP classes. But there’s a few changes I wish they would make. First, to have college visits for juniors, Where students can actually go see the colleges. Second is I wish the counselors would be more involved in the students life. I also hope that in the future they help students sign up for a bunch of scholarships.
Waterford Mott High School is an excellent school. The academics and environment are of high caliber. The staff excels in doing everything they can to help students improve, not only their grades, but themselves as a person. There is an immense amount of pride for the school. The classes are challenging, which is a particularly good thing. The clubs/activities that the school provide are very good as well, with sports teams winning multiple championships and clubs excelling in what they do. The administration cares about the students immensely, and this is seen throughout the school with various care programs. Some negative things, however, is that the food isn't very good. The bathrooms are frequently covered in obscene graffiti. Various water fountains break down periodically. Overall, the school is just old. Even though there are these negatives, the overall environment is adequate. It is an excellent place to learn, providing that everyone tries to ensure your success there.
My overall experience is very good. Teachers are very kind and always want to help if you have any issues, even outside the classroom. There is many clubs and after school things to do. The learning that goes on is very good and thought on by many teachers.
It wasn't a bad school, but it was still school. The classes were taught well and overall we received most of the help we needed, but school was especially hard for me because I suffered from a lot of mental health issues. I'm sure without those issues I would've had an easier and better experience.
Great friends, sports programs and plenty of opportunities to learn and volunteer. School size is around 1700 with 4 grades
Waterford Mott has an amazing support system for students. Any student is able to find at least one staff member that they relate to and can rely on. There are also many ways to get involved around the school. The schools administration is also very supportive of students and their ideas, and will always be open to students starting a new activity or club at the school. An area I would like to see improved at our schools is the funding for arts. I myself took 4 art classes at Mott, and it was obvious that these teachers need more financial support in order to teach their class efficiently. There are many talented students at this school, and they deserve the resources to be able to carry out their visions.
I would like to see more fresh lunch food and cleaner bathrooms. I personally love all of my teachers and think that they have all positively changed my life and prepped me for college life!
My experience while attending Waterford Mott High school is average. I’m fifty/fifty about everything that involves our school. I have had good and bad experiences. What’s disappointing is that the bad experiences out way the good. In my four years attending Mott High school I have always had problems with my teachers in the way they teach our classes. That involves teaching methods, grades not being put in until the end of the month, and cramming in last minute lessons before a test. Now in no way do I blame them fully because everybody is human and has hard times. Good teachers I’ve had will usually communicate their issue or problem opening up and giving us an understanding. Sadly the other teachers who slack off when it comes to proper teaching gives the other teachers a bad rep. As I continue my last year of school I’m happy to say that I’m happy with all my teachers I have this year, they are extremely helpful and understanding.
What I enjoy most about this school is the amount of opportunity you have to participate with the many clubs and sports this school has to offer. The teachers are mostly great and they care about your education and want to see you succeed, and they are also friendly. The honors and ap classes are a very good way to prepare you for college and the work you do is definitely somewhat college level. Waterford mott is a very diverse school. I really enjoy playing football and running track. The football coach really cares about the student athletes and makes it very clear that it’s most important that we do good in school. The food in the cafeteria is not the best and I wish we could be given better food. I don’t like the fact that I pay three dollars for such small servings(like one slice of pizza). Overall I am enjoying my high school experience and I know we have it better than most schools but we also have it worse than others.
The staff and students are great here. There are just some new rules such as keeping kids from the bathrooms that have brought down my opinion. I enjoy the after school organizations and classes I have, there is a good amount of options. Also new remodeling has uplifted the look and feel of campus.
What I like about Waterford Mott is the close connections teachers make with their students. The teachers want their student to achieve anything they put their mind to and grow to be great leaders. The teachers want to help their students in all steps of life, in school and out of school.
There was a lot of fights and a lot of drugs. I feel the biggest issue is that they don't really inform you of something until the event is starting and they want you to interact.
