My favorite thing about WHS is the relationship between students and staff. Staff members put a lot of time into getting to know their students on an individual level, and it has resulted in a mutual respect which makes the school feel a bit like a family. The staff works hard to give every opportunity to students to succeed and thrive, and it has created a safe, encouraging atmosphere. Especially with the new principal- Mr. Marvel, the school is moving in a more and more positive direction.
Wasilla High School is awesome, until the recent freshman and sophomores came in. As expected, freshman are immature, sure, but they were extra rambunctious. The sophomores, they are just indifferent, to everything. But before them, Wasilla had a great atmosphere. Everyone was nice and courteous to each other. Other than the atmosphere, Wasilla offers challenging courses. They used to have good selection of languages, but cost cut and short of teachers are a fault. I loved the JROTC program. The class was an easy A, but it taught you leadership and self discipline skills.
