Washtenaw Technical Middle College Reviews
Rating 4.18 out of 5 163 reviews
Washtenaw Technical Middle College is an amazing school for diversity. I have noticed that the teachers actually care about their students and make sure that their student have the best professors. The staff loves to motivate and make sure students are passing classes. Whenever I was stuck in a class or felt unmotivated my base advisor was such a big help and helped me. WTMC just wants the best for their students and I love how they take their students mental health seriously. I really recommend this school for people! There's also a lot of clubs so everyone can fit in. This school has done an amazing job helping kids prepare for college especially since it's a middle college program.
Choosing to attend Washtenaw Technical Middle College has been was one of the best decisions I have made. It was great that I only was required to take 4 semesters of high school classes to be able to take college classes, because I was ready and prepared to work towards my degree and future career. Being able to choose my own classes and make my own schedule was a huge advantage compared to a regular high school program. I don’t have to waste my time taking high school classes that don’t teach me anything and don’t contribute to my future degree in the way that more advanced college classes do. I also enjoy the beautiful and large campus, where everyone is friendly and helps me feel like I belong. A more negative experience I had was understanding the true value of attending and taking college classes, because I did not know everything about the program. I wish there was a handbook or presentation explaining everything with more clarity. My base advisor was not helpful in this area.
WTMC is a fabulous program! There's no better way to ready oneself for college than by immediately taking college classes. Not only do you take college classes, but you also graduate with both a high school degree and a college degree. Because you're taking college classes, sometimes you'll take a professor you don't get along with well, but overall the professors are great teachers and the learning experience is excellent.
