I am a student there now and one thing I can say that is not very great about the school is that it is practically 100 years old. Everything is falling apart there and they just need to tear it down and rebuild. The teachers there are okay, while some are great. I’d say the best set of teachers are the seventh grade teachers. Academic wise, the school I’d say is less than average. I remember taking the standardized test and scoring higher than the state average, way past the average for the school, for the average is quite low. Students are definitely better at reading than math. Most of the students who are attend here are, to put it nicely, not great. Not a lot try and there’s fights a lot and police officers often have to step in. We have it all. Drug overdoses, fights, things breaking, etc. If I had the choice I would definitely spend my years of junior high elsewhere. Unless you are looking for a average, maybe less average middle school experience then I do not recommend.

I went their in 6th grade then moved to Ohio. I had a very bad experience where I got bullied by two teachers. Some teachers were caring and nice but many were mean to the students. I was a dedicated quiet student so I wasn't sure why they were so mean to me. Athletics were not bad. There were frequent fights such as at school dances. I look bad and I am glad I only spent a year there.
One thing that makes this school unique is that it over 100 years old. If I could redo my experience, I would chose a different middle school. The teachers did not have a passion to teach, most just went through the motion.
