Warhill High School is a lovely school, but it lacks in a few things that could makes its review exceptional. Its staff and faculty is amazing, but as it is a public school, it lacks in the resources to successfully provide for its students for rigorous courseloads. The administration is friendly and creates a safe environment which promotes the inclusion of all students, which then indirectly helps students in their everyday life. Although some counselors lack in guidance in some scenarios, the others will surely pick up after each other and help them out. The school could use some improvement, but is surely on the pathway to success.
I commend Warhill High School for their willingness to listen to the needs of their students and their perseverance to ensure that all children have the opportunity to succeed. Warhill has gone through many changes in my four years of attendance, such as having a new principal, introducing the PATHWAY program, maintaining the CTE and PLTW programs, and even transforming the daily bell schedule. All of these changes are what sets Warhill apart from other schools in the district, and in the state of Virginia. If I were to change one thing, however, I would encourage Warhill to give its Arts programs, such as band, theatre, orchestra, and choir, the same amount of attention, money, and emphasis as they provide for its Athletic programs. Athletics are important to Warhill's reputation, with many students moving on to be D1 athletes. I would like to see the same excitement for kids who continue to thrive in the arts after high school as well.
