It’s a very big school, my senior class has almost 1,000 students in it. It gets me ready for the big college I’m going to. There’s so many different types of teachers that you will experience learning from. There’s some that can be very difficult to learn from, sometimes you need to learn on your own. At Wando there’s so many great opportunities, there’s warm and welcoming clubs and sports teams. Their sports teams are the best in the state for almost all of them. There’s classes that you didn’t even think you can take in highschool, only in college. I’m taking classes that could only be offered in college. But you can get college credit for it, so you can save money and graduate college early. There’s such a diversity in students at the school. There’s friends for anyone! It’s overall the best school I’ve been to in my whole life. I recommend it for anyone. It’s truly intimidating at first because of the size of the school.

Wando High School is a very good school. Most of the teachers I had the privilege of having were wonderful; the classes were also interesting and engaging. I say most simply because, like most things, there were a few teachers I disliked, and classes that I did not particularly care for. However, academic and extracurricular activities exceeded my expectations.
If something were to change however, I would hope it to be the administration. Overall, their relationship with the student body, in my opinion, was never particularly strong. I believe that it certainly was stronger under the principalship of Dr. Beckham, however, it is decreased over the years.
The best thing about Wando High School is the variety of options the students have. I like all the creative arts classes and the other electives offered (culinary school, cosmetology school, fashion design classes, photography classes with a dark room, a nursing program and an engineering program etc...) The school offers over twenty different AP classes in several different programs of study too. There are also clubs for everything and anything you could be possibly be interested in. If there isn't a club, it is really easy to start one and there is always a teacher willing to help.
The downside of Wando High School is the size. The school is really big with over 4,000 students and it is really easy to get lost in the crowd. It is also likely that you won't have classes with friends so you are constantly having to meet new people every semester because the school is on a semester basis.
