Walter Hays Elementary School Reviews
Rating 5 out of 5 1 review
We have been a part of the school community since Kindergarten. We started with a shy and timid boy who has truly flourished here and credit our Principal and teachers for this. The Principal is very involved in day to day school affairs and student body life. The teachers get to know each child and their strengths/weaknesses. Much of their education also focused on how to deal with conflict and social emotional learning.
This school is a gem. It may not have the most up to date facilities, but the teachers are incredibly warm, empathetic, focused on equitable education and really try to meet each child where they are.
Student life and community are also very inclusive. We have a strong PTA that hosts school wide events that are truly memorable. You realize how great the school is when each student you meet seem like great and balanced kids!
We have spectra art, counselors, maker space stem interests, after school programs, PA Junior Museum and the best PE teacher on the planet.
