In my years of Walt whitman i enjoyed it because of the teachers and what they provided to their students, they were amazing not just by the way they taught but they way they would connect to the student. They were like parents i would said because i had a teacher who was always there for me whenever i needed advice or help on a issue, and i appreciate them for that. ever since moving school i have academically grew exponentially and i guess became smarter! but i feel like student wise, they need to work on listing and growing up .
As a recent graduate, Walt Whitman High School is a wonderful place to be. My personal experience with it was a little unsatisfying, but that is no fault of the school's. There are so many opportunities to succeed, and there are infinite clubs and activities to do, in which you'll make tons of friends. Unfortunately, Covid disrupted the first three years of my experience, but the school still did the best it could. If you're going to go there, join a sport, & at least two clubs. Stay busy. Take AP classes if you can, because the teachers are wonderful and will treat you like adults. I think AP Language and AP Literature set me up for success the most, mainly because of the amazing teachers who taught me so much. Mrs. Latko and Mrs. Papiano will teach you to write like a true professional in Lang, and Mr. Pipolo will truly open your eyes to the world around you in AP Literature. Additionally, this school is incredibly diverse and accepting, and there's truly something for everyone here.
Walt Whitman is a unique experience. While I was a student, I had some very fond memories of the crazy things we did in class. The teachers I had were excellent. They were there to help us and support us when needed. Most teachers were approachable and understanding of life problems. The sports teams have seen improvement in the last complete of years, but that is probably attributed more towards the talents of the students. However, while I was a student, I believed there to be always clear favoritism towards the more well-known sports. Club-wise, there was always a diverse array of things to get involved in and if you couldn't find something, the process of creating a club was not that difficult.
