Wallkill Senior High School is a small school in a beautiful setting. The view from our multi-purpose field is a gorgeous mountain range. There are numerous sports, music/art programs, and clubs for academics, social activism, and school spirit. Our teachers and coaches know every student and personally want everyone to succeed. There are also numerous dances, trips, and social activities which every student can participate in because of fundraising and assistance.
A minor change my school would benefit from is a change in menu. In the cafeteria there is a salad bar, but it would be nice to see additional healthier options offered.

For me to be able to describe my high school, I would have to list everything that makes me happy, because being at my high school makes me feel that way. There are so many academic and extracurricular opportunities at Wallkill that you wouldn't NOT want to get involved. It's like a second home, because I'm gifted with new knowledge each day, as well as having teachers and students that will always be there to support my ambitions and biggest passions. In fact, I was able to pursue one of my passions through taking part in Creative Writing Club, as well as the Girls' Varsity Swimming Team. There, I was able to relax with my teammates and get a good workout, which helped release any stress I had that day. Also, Creative Club was the biggest outlet for me to express my inner-nerd. I loved talking about the different styles of writing, stream-of-consciousness, as well as poetry, and learning about one another's interests in writing.
Area is nice and quiet! Sometimes, teachers fail to really helped challenged students, plenty of racism (from teachers and students), many clubs get denied if they aren't a part of the schools agenda, and sometimes teachers have poor judgement.
