My experience at Walkersville High School has been excelent for many reasons! The first reason my experience is wonderful is the support I have received all four years from the education department as well as other staff members. Second, Walkersville has many sports and clubs to offer that acts like a home for many students and allow then to pursue their personal goals.
Great community surrounded by people willing to do everything in their power to help you succeed. There are a lot of people with conflicting beliefs when it comes to the students but overall good environment. Very strict school with strict policies but that shows in a great result of students grades and test scores. Great opportunity if you do sports, in academic teams, the band and more. It’s a very inclusive environment. Very safe environment as well with little to no violence. It’s not very diverse when it comes to race but it has gotten more diverse over time. The teachers are very positive and hardworking. They are very determined and willing to do all to help us students succeed. The counselors as well as everyone around helps prepare you for college. They also help with finding you scholarships and help ready you for college entrance tests. The school and spirit isn’t the best but it’s much better than most schools surrounding the town.
I enjoyed the teachers, the environment, and the location. At Walkersville there are various opportunities for students to join clubs, participate in sports, and help out in the community. I am proud to be a lion. Although the school is nice, it would be even better if there was a remodeling done since the school hasn't really gotten many upgrades since it was built! It may be far out to wish for it, but I'd love to see my school look better inside and out!
