My daughter has been really happy at this school and my only regret is that she didn't start out here. Kids from all kinds of backgrounds and with a wide variety of interests and abilities come to Waldorf and the staff is sincere in their respect of each child's individuality. Although Waldorf is progressive, the academic program is challenging and my daughter has made tremendous progress. The school also goes above and beyond in guiding the students through conflicts, viewing the social/emotional development of their students as an integral part of the Waldorf education. From what I can see, the high schools that the students eventually go on to are just as varied as the students who come to Waldorf. I would recommend this school to anyone.
My daughter is in elementary school and has attended WSB since pre K. The school has always partnered with my family to address her needs and all of our concerns in her development. She is academically challenged but more importantly she is well rounded and emotionally mature. If you’re looking for a community of people (parents, teachers and administrators) who care about your kid and your family’s well being, this is the school for your child.
This school was the absolute best thing my parents could have done for my education. I had such a tight knit class, I was able to learn what kids at other schools learned, and I had a great time. I learned how to knit, sew, play the violin, and take a lot of art. There are so many great traditions to take part in like the may festival or michaelmas.
