My school was able to give me a glimpse of the bigger picture. It showed me the world in a way that I couldn't have at any other school. We went on trips, we studied different cultures, and most of all each course we taught in way that encouraged students to see beyond the classroom. I personally benefited from my this approach, in many ways. Not only did I work hard and try new things, but my school sparked a desire in me to change the world. I had the chance to excel academically, make a science project that made it to the Intel International Science fair, and much more. I was nominated one of the 20 students who will change the world by Utah Valley Magazine. It was my school that made that possible.

Walden will do anything they can to accommodate you and help you succeed. They have been know to, on many occasions, hire a single teacher for a single student if the class the students wants/needs/requires is unavailable to them. High school seniors are required to write a ten page research paper (to prepare for college essays) and have to be accepted into a college in order for them to graduate. The school building is fantastic, it was built only about two years ago.
The teachers are wonderful, I couldn't ask for better. They are very personable, quirky, friendly and intelligent. Teachers will bend over backwards to help a student. The teachers all have very unique styles and are based around real world experiences. Instead of a lecture we'll have discussions and go out into the field of learning as a class. I feel like not only have I been taught more about the real world, but I've also learned more about myself.
