I genuinely enjoyed all 4 years of high school here! They provide the best high school experience when it comes to after school activities and still enjoying going to school, while at the same time providing top notch academics. I felt challenged to the point where I struggled and could advance and grow but not too challenged to where I couldn't handle it and hated it. The diversity is more than I've seen at other schools when it comes to both the students who attend, the teachers, and the programs they provide.

This school is great! I think it is the most well rounded, public school in the North Raleigh area. The teachers are great and they do their best to help the students. Parts of the building and facilities are old, but I think for a public school in North Carolina it is one of the best. Almost everything is up to date like the media center gym. The sports programs are generally great, but the track is smaller than others in the area.(somthing I notice as a track runner)
Attending Wake Forest High School was a very interesting experience for me. Some teachers are amazing, others are not. WFHS has had the best football team in the state for two years in a row, but I feel that too much of the budget goes towards sports and not enough goes into the classrooms. Most classes don't have enough textbooks for students to check one out, and many classes don't have enough books for each student to have one in the classroom. The classes tend to be crowded.
However, the visual arts department is phenomenal. All of the teachers are very good at their jobs; the ceramics instructor actually went to Pratt Institute! I've learned a lot in CTE courses as well; my digital art teacher was an industry veteran who had worked on a MMORPG before teaching game design. WFHS has some good qualities, but I'm definitely glad I'm graduating soon.
