Wahkiakum High School, most people would ask what's that? Where is that located? We are located in Cathlamet Washington. A small little town where everyone knows everyone. luckily for me i've gotten the chance to grow up here and go to a school where people actually cares about your future. The teachers aren't just doing it for the money. This school is incredible. It's easy to be heard and to get involved. You just gotta put yourself out there. Everyone can be part of a sport and or any clubs that we have. Are school is welcoming and safe. Recently we have added gates around the campus to help my fellow students feel safe. Everyone understands everyone. We have all day school assembly's to build better culture. There's always room to improve. I like that the diversity is so wide you can always find a place to belong. However, we could improve teachers actually listening to what we have to say in class. They sometimes forget that we are humans too and face challenges.
This School has a faculty that really does care about students, their learning, and their post High School plans.
Attended for nearly 4 years and loved all of my teachers, you can get help from them easily. Office staff is amazing as are the faculty in general. If someone has a hard time with anxiety, the classes generally smaller which helps. The food isn't nearly as good but the ladies work hard to make sure it tastes better when is it significantly despising. Overall good school and community, people always come back after moving or after college.
