Voyagers' Community School Reviews

I love that my children are able to go outside for recess & breaks during the day so that their academic work is punctuated by mental and physical releases, the way neuroscientists have proven is the best way for children to learn. I also love that they work in multiage groups gaining knowledge from more advanced students and supporting students who are learning skills they have already mastered. My daughter especially enjoys read aloud, partner reading, STEAM, and the Clubs & Electives she has chosen to take. My son favorites are Math Workshop & trips to the arboretum.

Voyagers is an exceptional educational experience. My kids started in high school but I wish we had known about Voyagers sooner. They treat kids with respect, nurture their unique talents and inspire them to learn and grow. Both of my sons flourished here and were inspired to go to college and follow their dreams. Since graduating high school, they have both enjoyed working with kids in the areas of environmental education and martial arts. I attribute their love of teaching to the experiences they had at Voyagers where teachers fostered intellectual curiosity, wonder and creativity rather than pressure, anxiety and learning by rote. Highly recommend for kids of pre-school, primary, middle and high school grades based on my observations and personal experience with the high school.
We couldn’t be happier with our experience as members of the Voyagers’ community. My daughter has been a student for 3 years now, this is our son’s first. Nowhere else would they be so involved in their own education. At Voyagers’ they are responsible, respected, and treated as valued members of the community.

Between the multi aged classes, the extensive outdoor time, and the student directed learning my children have grown more than just academically.
