Fantastic school! Each staff member genuinely cares about every child and goes above and beyond their duties to help them succeed. This school is actually about the kids and because of this feels like a big family.

I went to this school from k through 8thgrade. There were some good things and some bad things. I'll start with the good. The science program, specifically under the teacher I had for 7th and 8thgrade, was amazing. We did labs almost everyday. It was challenging, but it was a great class. It sparked my interest in science. Next, we have the option for advanced math and science classes for seventh and eighth graders. This allowed students who need more time to not be rushed and for fast learning students to not be held back. This was crucial for me since I learned fast. Now on to the bad. The food was terrible. I remember never enjoying the food because it tasted bad and you got small portions. Next is the students. Bullying was a problem and no one seemed to do anything about it. The teachers said to come to them if you had a problem, but they would not really do anything. It was never dealt with very well. VES was a decent school, but there are ways that it needs to improve.
