I love the school personally. It has really gotten me to think about where the future may lead, what to do with my life and what opportunities would really support me. The teachers are just as supportive as the APs and its a really safe environment. I loved it when Professional Communications/MAPs was a required course because the resources needed to succeed were mainly in that class and its a bit annoying for us Juniors and Seniors to have to reshow them how to access these things if they weren't paying attention at a seminar. Other than that its amazing!
Vista is one of the best high schools (in my opinion) when it comes to offering opportunities whether they're related to college readiness or getting involved. The teachers and staff are so very kind, always willing to support students and help them along their educational path. Vista is a pretty connected school in terms of community, so people are rarely left feeling excluded. Additionally, I'm amazed at how there are so many clubs and extracurricular programs like UIL Academics, Science Fair, and Student Council to name a few. The only problem is having to choose a manageable amount of activities from a pool where every single possibility is of true quality! There's no doubt students are able to dive deeper into their interests and potentially get set on the career path they wish to travel on for the rest of their lives here at this amazing school. I would gladly recommend this school to any families in the area and am excited for my next few years at Vista Ridge High School!
Attending Vista Ridge High School has been one of the greatest experiences I have ever received throughout my four years at VR. The staff and teachers do an amazing job being involved and included with the students around VR. The staff makes an effort to get to know their students better and be with them for every step of their journey. The teachers try to be a part of their student's lives. I still have a close connection with my teachers from a couple of years ago
The culture, in my opinion, stands out from the other schools in the area. With a diverse spread of students and activities to get involved at the school, emphasizing the spread of community throughout the school as well as the neighboring middle and elementary schools.
VR left a powerful impact on my life, with our motto, "preparing students to be the best for the world", the school abides by making the world a better place by developing the students, through the influence of other students and the staff members.
