My experience with Vista was overall a good one. I had teachers that were passionate about helping the students who returned interest in learning. I never felt unsafe in the building. The student population was diverse and I met a lot of different people during my time at Vista. However, there was an issue with a difference in student interest in learning. That is, students who did not invest as much time into their education were often placed in courses with students who dedicated a lot of time and effort to their learning. This often caused disassociation between groups of students and caused frustration for both the teachers and students. The courses that were considered advanced or college level were opportunities to avoid this frustration and disassociation, but few options were advertised directly to students. Despite this, I still enjoyed my time at Vista and received a good education with courses that somewhat prepared me for college.

The school overall is a very good school. Students are granted many opportunities to choose from and usually supported through the pathways. Any student can go down any pathway when attending this school. Probably the only con is a decline in the teaching of real-life skills. But other than that, this school rocks!
This school allows students to explore and become something they want to be for the rest of their lives. Vista Peak has offered advanced classes for kids that desire a challenge, like AP Courses and College Course. One unique thing about this school is the partnership they have with Aurora Community College. The school allows you to take CCA classes while attending this high school, not many high schools have the opportunity to do this nor the chance. The school also invites colleges to visit the school, this allows kids to explore colleges and have the opportunity to figure out where they want to go. This year, the school added a college readiness department and this has allowed kids to have a place to go for if they have a question about college. Overall, this school is great and couldn't ask for better.
