This is a school where I was able to find myself. All the teachers gave me a lot of chances and opened a lot of doors for me. In order for me to find what I wanted to do after high school. I was recommended to always try new things everyday. Joining clubs really helped me a lot. This school has really helpful teachers who always tries to connect with their students. They offer to help students with homework or study. They give us a chance to help us prepare for a test. If I’m ever feeling overwhelmed I would communicate that to my teacher and we would try to come up with a solution. I like how their isn’t a lot of bullying going around and when I got to high school they taught us it never okay to bully others and to Stand up for each other. Throughout my years of high school I learned a lot of life lessons. Whenever I’m feeling sad, unhappy, or depress we have people we can go to at school for that. Over all this school was a good experience for me.
So far, my experience with Vista High School has been great! The teachers are very helpful, the workload isn't too heavy, and they have amazing opportunities with all the different classes they offer. They have a wide variety of extracurricular activities and clubs, so there's something for everyone. The sports are great too.
Vista high school has so many opportunities, clubs, sports, etc to do and join. They offer help for those who need help, counseling and the wellness center. I like how it is an easy environment to connect and interact with others. My four years throughout Vista High School was a breeze, but that is only because I received help from my counselors, who make sure I was on track on my plan throughout high school and for college. Yes, there was some times when it was difficult but that was for personal reasons, but VHS has helped me by moving forward.
Vista High is a fantastic school. It allows everyone to meet their needs in and out side of the classroom.
What I like about Vista High School is that it is very supportive. They she very supporting counselors that any student can take to about school or any other subject
My teachers were so supportive, constantly cheering me on and pushing me to do better. Along with this, giving me opportunities to raise my grades when I show growth, and being understanding. Not all students will be interested in their future, but you make the environment.
There were some really great teachers who really cared about educating the students and creating a space that promoted critical thinking. There were also some really bad teachers who didn't challenge the students enough and did not fee like qualified teachers. There were great opportunities from different avenues of educations, ( AP, IB, 4H, ROTC, auto mechanic) but it was somewhat limited. The resources were also limited as far as technology and the access that i had didn't feel it was at its potential. The art department felt somewhat robust and when i attended i enjoyed the option of ceramics, while my peers enjoyed the screen printing class. The sports teams did pretty well, but i did not follow sports then or now so i don't know how well they really did. Overall I left Vista High School feeling prepared for college, educationally, and was satisfied with my experience.
Im only a junior but it is so far a fine high school experience. My previous teachers at vista were fair.
I really enjoyed playing sports here and taking part in the dance and art community. There are many opportunities to join clubs and very well organized.
I loved high school! I played three sports so I had a lot of different experiences throughout my 4 years here! I had some amazing teachers that I am still in contact with now as a college student!
I have loved my time at Vista High School so far. There are so many favorite memories that I have from the classroom friends to the rallies to the football games. Vista high gives you a feel for what college could be like. They also provide a support system which is really helpful for those who need someone to rely on. Vista provides many different levels classes, such as, regular, honors, AP, and IB courses. Vista really looks to challenge you with your education and make sure you continue learning however much you want to.
I am currently a sophomore at VHS and I so far have loved my experience there. The school spirit is just so fun. The teachers aren't the best but it really all depend on the person, some don't even really prepare you for your AP exams which is very sad.
Appearances sometimes dont tell the truth behind VHS. From the outside it can appear "ghetto" but the reality is it is a very diverse high school that offers an excellent education. We have AP, Honors classes, Trade classes, AG classes. There's clubs, and school pride. Its represents not judging a book by its cover! As a Junior, I couldn't think of wanting to attend an other High School.
Vista High school is honestly a pretty cool school not gonna lie. It might be old and falling apart but the 4 years that I've been there has been the best.especially my freshmen year I would say was the best. Then my senior year we had a new principle and he honestly was the best we had more opportunities and had more to do our senior year.
Right now I am a sophomore at Vista High School and all I can say is that VHS is a really good school. The teachers and staff at this school really care about your future and offer you so much help and different programs that can help you whether it is AP or IB classes, how to apply for colleges, how to get a job, etc. Also at VHS, there is always going to be an adult that you can trust or talk to about anything you need. However, the only two things I believe could be better at VHS is the shape of the school and the school spirit. The current campus was built in 1972, and you can tell it needs a little upgrade. And when it comes to school spirit, I don't know, it just seems that some students really don't care about being involved, which kinda ruins your high school experience at times. Overall, I definitely believe VHS is a great school and I'm glad am a student there.
I absolutely love my high school. The opportunities, the staff, the culture, the diversity are all strong suits about this school.
There are always fights at Vista High School, but we got a visit from Blueface and a free pop up concert by him. We’re good at football, basketball, and wrestling. Overall, our other sports are decent. We have a great performing arts program, but it is slightly underfunded. The teachers really care about the students’ learning and they always try to make your experience better, but sometimes they let their pride get the best of them and then you have to deal with it. Our International Baccalaureate Program is not the best, but it’s not too shabby either. The school food isn’t the best, but that’s not our fault. A lot of kids do drugs here and we often get pep rallies about not doing drugs anymore, but the fire alarm usually goes off from people smoking/vaping in the bathroom. Our graduation rate is about 33% than the enrolled amount of that class during Freshman year.
