Honestly, I love Vista. I'm a senior in my last semester and have gone here all four years, and I've met so many amazing people here that I never would have met if I didn't come here. Our school is sometimes seen as "ghetto" compared to other high schools around us, but I've never felt in danger here. Obviously people do drugs and drink, its high school, but I've never been offered anything and if you aren't into that then people wont pressure you. I would recommend this school to anyone! Just keep in mind you can get mixed up with some people you might not wanna hang out with, but just make wise choices and choose your friends well and that will not be a problem for you! People here are really nice. :)

Appearances sometimes dont tell the truth behind VHS. From the outside it can appear "ghetto" but the reality is it is a very diverse high school that offers an excellent education. We have AP, Honors classes, Trade classes, AG classes. There's clubs, and school pride. Its represents not judging a book by its cover! As a Junior, I couldn't think of wanting to attend an other High School.
There are always fights at Vista High School, but we got a visit from Blueface and a free pop up concert by him. We’re good at football, basketball, and wrestling. Overall, our other sports are decent. We have a great performing arts program, but it is slightly underfunded. The teachers really care about the students’ learning and they always try to make your experience better, but sometimes they let their pride get the best of them and then you have to deal with it. Our International Baccalaureate Program is not the best, but it’s not too shabby either. The school food isn’t the best, but that’s not our fault. A lot of kids do drugs here and we often get pep rallies about not doing drugs anymore, but the fire alarm usually goes off from people smoking/vaping in the bathroom. Our graduation rate is about 33% than the enrolled amount of that class during Freshman year.
