We came to visitation from the public school system after much deliberation over loyalty to our public school system and teacher’s community. Our first experience was total commitment by the staff and upper school students to meet our girls exactly where they are and build them into successful, independent and resourceful women. We have experienced a feeling of belonging from all angles including parent involvement opportunities, a plethora of clubs that fit all interests, and a willingness and generosity of our teachers to use they time to guide and build confidence in our girls. We found that the ability to have small classroom, resources for teacher and staff dedication has given our girls the confidence to speak their voices. This coupled with the independent and rigorous curriculum has been our reason for joining the visitation school and why we will stay.
Visitation is the BEST opportunity for our daughter and is one of the primary reasons we chose to move to the area after retiring from active duty. As military veteran of more than two decades my family has had the chance to experience 13 different schools; we’ve experienced public and private schools that work and those that don’t.
Visitation concentrates on the whole person when it comes to education. Scholastically, physically, socially and spiritually; these four components cover all aspects of our daughter’s education and personal development. Teachers, administration, and other families at Vis ensure that all students are cared for in each each of these four areas.
I can’t think of a better place for our daughter. Visitation is a place that everyone is welcomed, challenged and encouraged. This is a school that works and is more than a place for her to learn, it’s a place that grounds her in all aspects and motivates her to achieve what she wants in life.

Visitation is a perfect place for developing young women in academics and in life. Our daughter has thrived in this environment with strong academic rigor and multiple activities given the smaller size of the school. We are confident she will be prepared for college and life with her Vis experience. We believe this investment in her education will probe out to be a supurb decision. She just completed her freshman year and can’t wait to get back to school...so refreshing to hear as parent! Her confidence, gentle strength and positive attitude attitude towards academics is a direct result of her Vis experience. Highly recommend Vis!
