Okay so it could be a good school. I have several kids that attend. I have had frequent issues with the admin, who abuses her power to push you around. She tells you how you should parent your kids and makes you feel like dirt when it’s not done the way she would do it. She only cares about her self image and the image of the school. She puts on a fair facade but if your child gets in trouble for anything you are the bad parent and your kid needs treatment. I have heard from other kids and parents similar things as well. Other people’s children have even said that the kids are great and the bullying doesn’t exist from the kids it comes from the staff. There are good teachers but I feel the whole system is poorly ran and is more like a prison setting. If your kids don’t fit the image mold they are targeted for being the odd ones out.
Vision Charter School has been an amazing education experience, yet the social experience is more than lacking. I was able to achieve my associates whilst in higher school and I had the opportunity to take high level classes that were academically challenging. However, the apparent favoritism that existed in the administration ruined many social aspects, as well as the administrations treatment of teachers. The administration is constantly cherry picking their favorites to be the heads of activities and the face of the school. In doing so they overlook many talented students who do more and will achieve more than those they choose consistently. They also tend to treat these students differently as well. Overall, if you value a strong education that will challenge a students brain, this school is great but lacks in social support and faces severe favoritism within the administration.
They help us to graduate with our Associates Degree and they provide many opportunities for us. They have a very nice environment for the student. The one thing they lack is the sports. They just started competitive sports such as softball/baseball, basketball, and volleyball. Other than that, love everything about it.
