I loved my experience at Visalia Charter Independent Study. It was filled fun and amazing memories. I felt ready for a college setting because my teachers didn't tell me what to do they let me loose when it came to homework. I recommend any student who does not like their traditional high school should come here and enjoy it because people are friendly and teachers are very supportive and they care about educational needs. One thing I would change is for the school to come up with a marching band. I used to be in marching band and I missed it so much!

I have been attending VCIS since 8th grade and it has become my second home. Everyone is accepted there and no one is ever excluded or bullied. We have an awesome performing arts program and tutoring in various subjects is always available. Overall, I love my high school and am glad to be a part of the VCIS family.
Of all the teachers I have had the pleasure of getting to know through my daughter, I have been nothing but completely satisfied. There is a good mix of seasoned teachers and young, just entering the field, master and single subject teachers. Each come from diverse backgrounds and have graduated with honors. I think most teachers at VCIS feel they are able to devote their individual attention on students who need it most without feeling crowded or crunched for time. They want their students to succeed and continue on to college and they show it through their dedication, care, and truly taking the time to listen to what their students need.
