While no school is perfect, VIrginia Academy is a school that truly cares about its students and families. They work very hard and their teachers are talented and compassionate. As a parent, I learned what “grace” meant and use it often. The leadership is outstanding and should be proud of the work they are doing, especially during the tough times. I am grateful for our time there and humbled by all that we were able to accomplish. My son became a better person and human being by the guidance of his amazing teacher and the administrations support. Highly recommend Virginia Academy to anyone considering this little gem of a school.

I have attended Virginia Academy for several years, and I love going here. It's a small school, meaning that students and parents have more opportunities to be involved in the school's community. The high school is new, so there are some aspects that have not fully developed yet like clubs and other activities. This may also be due to the number of students attending. Fortunately, it is improving each year. It is incredibly diverse since there are many international students, students on scholarships, and students from other states. The teachers and students develop strong connections, but I would argue that many of the teachers are not experts in the field. Luckily, the school offers many dual enrollment classes that they will pay for (depending on the financial aid status). Definitely one of the best private schools in the area.
I am a true Christian, and embrace the teachings of the bible. However, I have seen that the high school students really have placed a stigma around religion, and aren't passionate about their studies. Many students have been caught doing drugs, having sexual intercourse, or bullying other students, however, there were no punishments for their behaviors. My two stars go two my teachers, who all have taught me to embrace God and my studies. If it weren't for them, I would have left the school a long time ago.
