Vinita High School Reviews

My experience at VHS was just like any other. I enjoyed my teachers the most though, most of them cared deeply about what happened in our lives. More specifically my science teacher for whom I had three years in a row for different science classes. She was always there to listen, to assist me with homework, and she was my absolute savior during my high school years.
The teachers work hard to make sure you know the material and see that you graduate. The students aren't the best behaved, but you can still get work done.
Considering the fact that I have never been to another high school, I do not know what the norm is. I do know that the people in charge favor sports over arts. Throughout my experience, we have had major budget cuts but seem to have enough money for sports teams. The only new addition that does not benefit the sports teams is the addition to the AG building.Luckily in 2016 every High School student received Chromebooks and during the fall 2016 semester the internet was not very good.I have been attempting to start a robotics club but our superiors will not allow it because of the fact that everyone else fundraisers. Not to mention, the plumbing in the main building is terrible. Most issues are not cosmetic but are tough to deal with. Some of the teachers are not the nicest of people. While overall they are okay, it's the few that makes the students feel bad. Our Student Council is great though. Overall a 4/10. It's an okay school but could definitely be better.
