School building itself is abysmal. Many teachers are good but the ones that aren't are not even remotely competent. Very hit or miss, although most are good. Overall academics are outstanding, if you're in the honors or IB classes. They do not understand how to downplay the academics for the non-honors classes, so they end up not learning anything and just barely ready for college. Do not go to Vincentian if you are not planning on taking the IB program; it is simply not worth the tuition or your time. Also they can be really weird with what they punish. We have kids who are outright a danger to other students that stayed until the administration finally was obligated to keep them off of school grounds, but one kid swan dives onto a cafeteria table and just instantly is expelled on the spot.
Review Vincentian Academy
Vincentian is a small school that is academically challenging. I did the full IB program and expienced some great teachers and classes. The size of the school can be a problem but it also alllows you to participate in any activity you like - varsity sports, musicalas and clubs.
Vincentian has excellent academics. Absolutely the best in the North Hills. The class sizes are small so you can have one on one time with the teachers every class. The block scheduling allows for longer class periods so you can cover more complex material in one class. Also you will almost never be given homework only 1 day in advance.
The only complaint that I had was that the building is in sore need of an update. No central heating or cooling means it gets a little chilly in the winter and a little toasty in the fall and spring. The school is planning on making big additions with new classrooms and central heating and cooling.
