I've attended Village Christian Academy since first grade, and I'm a senior now. What I've enjoyed most is the love, advice, and helpfulness that nearly every teacher provides. Another school strength is its emphasis on reading, writing, and English classes in general. VCA also engages students in various activities, including connecting with God. Classes are great at incorporating Christian values into lessons.
But of course my school isn't flawless. I wish there were more classes available, such as more AP course options and more electives. VCA's small size attributes to this issue, though. Another thing that needs improvement is the execution of punishments. I've seen people get away with misdeeds far too often. Finally, I'd love to see more pushing for musical enrichment.
Overall, I'm glad that this school's community raised me. I would recommend VCA to anyone who's looking for Christian-based education, caring staff, and academic challenges without extreme pressure.

I have gone to Village since I was in kindergarten. I have seen it change over the course of 12 years in many ways, good and bad. I have loved the small class size as it has allowed me to be close with my teachers and has made them very accessible to me. The school as a whole is very well kept and nice. Although there are some teachers who are not the best, Village has done a great job at selecting qualified teachers who care about their student’s education. I do wish though that the school would focus more on the arts. Overall the school has prepared me the best it can for college and the friendships I have had are great. There are some areas where focus may need to be shifted such as the arts, athletic teams, and student freedoms, but it is not enough for me to give bad rating.
Village is a good school. Academics are great and it has prep my child for college life! This is a Christian academy which has been a part of my child's life since he was in preschool. I've seen changes at Village throughout the years, some for the best and some for the worse but all in all, this school has stood the test of time! Village has really prepared my son for college and has caused doors of opportunity to open up on his behalf due to having a high academic standard. The greatest part of my son attending this school, is it's Christ centered focus. Not only did they prepare him academically but spiritually as well. With the many ever changing events and difficulties occurring in life, Village has played a part in my son understanding how to overcome life obstacles without a defeated mentality. It has pointed my son to a source greater than any human ability or strength. A Source much greater than I but well able to relate to life issues, that source is God.
