Best education and environment imaginable! I was so prepared for college compared to my peers. I particularly liked the supportive environment, level of academic challenge, sports teams, and just overall friendships the school bred.
Review Villa Walsh Academy
Villa Walsh is the right place for some, but not for everyone. Because of the small student body, the number of clubs and Advanced Placement (AP) classes are extremely limited. There is not a lot of diversity, at it is located in a predominantly wealthy and white area, and there is little financial aid available. Some of the not so great characteristics are that the food is nothing special, the WiFi is often slow or completely down, and some teachers that have been there for years and subpar. Although the girls are kind and get along for the most part, everyone feels the pressure of needing to succeed in class. Everyone knows everyone, which can be a good and bad thing. It's nice to have a tight-knit network, but everyone knows who's at the top of the class and who's at the bottom. This pressure to do well in class leads to a sleep-deprived and tired student body. Despite this, however, the school does produce students who are ready for college academics.
Fantastic principal, she knows every student and manages the girls with a firm grace and compassion that motivates them all to be the best version of themselves possible. The girls are competitive but this produces an excellent academic atmosphere where they strive to achieve all they are able. Most importantly, the school helps each girl grow into a person with fine character rooted in faith.
