Our family saw the real value of a private education with the sudden pivot to online learning. When other schools were working on a plan to suit all students, Villa was up and running with online learning within a couple of days. Teachers met with kids in Zoom Classrooms but also used Facetime to meet individually. We even got a couple of personal visits from one teacher including Easter treats and end of year goodies. Our kids are loved and cared for while they are learning and that includes classroom education as well as leadership skills, confidence and resilience. Even though we are not catholic, we love that our children are learning moral integrity and values from their religion classes, and the school is very accommodating for anyone who isn't in the catholic faith. The small classrooms make sure your daughter doesn't ever fly under the radar and the all-girl experience gives her confidence and focus. We love it here at Villa Maria for both of our girls and they do as well.
Villa Maria Academy is more than a school. It’s a community filled with love, support, and an array of opportunities for girls to grow and develop academically, emotionally and socially. While we were impressed with the IHM Sisters’ charism and commitment to educate girls, what fascinated us the most was the self-confidence exhibited by the students and how well they communicated with others. At Villa, girls learn to respect themselves and others, the importance of family values and making good choices. During their years at Villa, our girls grew from curious kindergartners to independent, confident, compassionate young women. The Sisters and teachers instilled in our daughters a love of learning and a strong work ethic. They inspired them to pursue their dreams and a desire to help those less fortunate. We love Villa for all it offered our girls: a fabulous education, teaching of the Catholic faith, dedicated Sisters, exceptional teachers, and a warm, loving and safe environment.
Villa's Preschool is wonderful! My child loves learning, wanting to play 'school' every day. I see how much he has grown from the start of school, and it warms my heart that he is excited and truly loves being at Villa. He loves his friends and tells us that he "feels safe" there, and there is nothing more a parent could ask for. He is being challenged academically, and is learning to play well with others. The teachers love what they do and it shows in the way that they care for the children and the fantastic lessons and activities that they have planned for them each day. He loves attending his specials in Music, Spanish, Gym and Library too, which only helps to enrich their already wonderful curriculum. The Preschool classes attend First Friday Mass as well to help the children build their faith and reinforce what they teach them in religion. There is just a feeling you get when you walk through the doors of Villa that is indescribable. We just love it!
