Viera High School was an adequate learning environment for high school. Driven teachers, supportive staff, and motivated students made for a great four years. I feel as though there is more that could be done to prepare students for college and entrance exams necessary to attend schools, however what Viera High School lacks in college readiness, it makes up in opportunities! Viera has several wonderful opportunities for students of all interests. There are several champion sports teams and a budding music program. Viera High School made me feel safe and welcome whilst I pursued my academic future.

Viera High is a great high school with amazing teachers! I have loved all my English teachers here so far-- Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Welkenbach, and Ms. Milton. They are awesome and love and support the students so much! There is a limited selection of electives, and I believe that the school should add more, particularly classes pertaining to the culinary arts--more career-related courses that are specific to what the students want to do after high school. One more thing I would add is that the cafeteria meals are very mediocre. I suggest adding options for vegetarian and vegab students as they are basically limited to peanut butter and jelly or a little tiny side salad. There are no ample options for that part of the student population, and being a vegan myself I would like to see that change. The school will prepare one for college very well, as long as the student chooses to believe in himself or herself.
The teachers and administrators at Viera High School are very helpful and they have a passion for helping students at the school and preparing them for the future. Having moved from another state halfway through my high school career, I needed a lot of guidance about course requirements and they were able to get me right on track to graduate in time. All of the students are very nice and welcoming and the athletics at the school are super engaging and competitive. The school offers a variety of AP courses and extracurricular activities, so it is very easy to become involved at the school and in the community. VHS is an excellent school to go to. Go Hawks!
