I attended Saint Aloysius High School my senior year. My experience was very positive because of the friendships that I made, the encouragement and concern shown by the teachers and staff, and the religious aspect of the school. I found the teachers to be very involved in my education by staying in close contact with both my parents and me. My teachers showed a genuine concern in my success as a student. When I had to go to online school because of Covid-19, my teachers were in constant contact with me. They also frequently held Zoom meetings to answer any questions that I may have. Of course, Covid-19 happened during my senior year, but the faculty and staff did everything within their power to make the best of the situation. They reached out to me, not only academically, but also just to check on my well-being. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who is looking for a facility that provides both an excellent educational and religious experience.
VCS is like a family to me. The teachers keep students engaged and many of them form awesome relationships with the students. Since the school is small, all of the students know each other and nobody ever meets a stranger. VCS also has so many special traditions that most other schools don’t have, including Senior Retreat, Catholic Schools Week, and Junior Ring Ceremony. It has many sports, clubs, and other activities for students to participate in, so everybody finds something that interests them. VCS provides the best opportunities that I could have ever asked for. I am an alumni, and I am so thankful for all that VCS has done for me and will always be a Flash!!!
My experience at Vicksburg Catholic School has been full of amazing learning experiences, helpful and friendly teachers and staff, and life long friendships. Going to a relatively small school like VCS is, gave me a sense of inclusiveness, and the friendships I've made are bound to last forever. The teachers and staff are warm, welcoming, kind, and very knowledgeable. My overall experience at VCS has been nothing short of amazing.
