Veterans High school is a school of high standards, quality teachers, and are very disciplined. There’s administration who care about the ultimate well being of the students. Emotions, behavior, mental health and more are taken into account. Veterans is a school I’ve went to all four years. They take academics serious. They strive and aim for success. They host honor awards and ceremonies for those who qualify. They have all kinds of facilities for people’s preferences. All kinds of sports that are engaging, fun, physical, and more. The school makes sure to look out for certain sports especially. Such as football, basketball, and baseball. The school offers pageants, talent shows, chorus concerts, band concerts, acting, and more. There are also clubs available to join. Such as prayer club, where they meet and pray, talk about God, have fun events. It’s overall a beautiful thing to see and experience. There are more catered to cooking, plants/greens, etc. Veterans is a cool school.
Veterans High School was a wonderful experience for me. Most of the teachers there were wonderful and strived to make you and everyone feel safe and genuinely tried to help you learn. The administration there was a bit overly strict, and I could not tell you why. I believe they were trying to convey the image that they were a prestigious school but if anything, it just came off as needlessly strict. The food was better than any other school I have gone to, but they tried to make everyone get a fruit or vegetable which made a lot of food go to waste. Over all the school was a 9/10.
My experience at this school, as a sophomore, has been great so far! I have been able to complete all of the classes of my choice. The counselors here are very organized and are always looking for ways to help the students. My experience with the sports department was not the greatest, but the culture is improving. The facilities and food here are exceptional. Overall, my time here has been helpful and fun!
