Our child has attended Veritas for 4 years - overall a very good experience. Veritas is not only a school, it is a community of teachers, parents, and students working together to develop our children into responsible Christian adults. The curriculum is academically rigorous with an emphasis on literature and history. Most teachers are willing to meet with students outside of class if clarification or help is needed. Veritas differs from other schools in that the goal is for students to actually learn and understand what is taught so that students can engage in intellectual conversation, applying knowledge across courses and in everyday life. There is no "teaching to the test" at Veritas. There are numerous after-school athletic opportunities; however, Veritas is limited in the number of extra-curricular clubs it offers students. I would highly recommend Veritas to any parents seeking a classical christian education for their child.

When I dropped my son off for his first day of Kindergarten years ago at Veritas School, I was calmed by the generous, warm smile he was greeted with by a random faculty member. We chose Veritas originally for the school's dedication to a child's heart - teaching children with excellence in the classroom, but also shepherding their hearts on the playground. Fast forward eight years and two more students and we continue to be thrilled with this school. The faculty challenges our children in the classroom, while also providing specific academic assistance to one so that our family can stay together at the same school. The classroom conversations our students partake in are amazing. More than a school, this is a community that seeks to partner parents, faculty and students together to strive for that which is true, good and beautiful - in the classroom, on the playground, on the stage, on the field, and many years beyond, as graduates.
I started going to Veritas in first grade when it was still located at the Jahnke Road location, at Crestwood Pres. Since then, I have been challenged in the humanities field of academics as Veritas Teachers strive to incorporate well-rounded learning in all the classes. I have grown to love history while also having a passion for science, specifically biology, chemistry, and anatomy.
