Verde Valley School is a unique place characterized by cultural diversity, open-mindedness, kindness, and dedication to world citizenship. I feel incredibly blessed that my children's formative years have been, and continue to be, so profoundly influenced by this intentional community. The academics are rigorous, and the teachers are as committed to my children inside the classroom as they are outside. My children are known and valued, and get to learn and grow in one of the most stunning settings on the planet. What more could a parent ask for during the high school years!

Verde Valley School is an incredible school that fosters in its students and faculty a commitment to life-long learning, intellectual rigor, collaboration, and a deep sense of appreciation for the stunning natural setting we all call home. The school's 5 guiding principles - academic excellence, global citizenship, the value of physical labor, environmental stewardship and service to others - serve as a framework for the academic and student life programs. I have worked here for eight years and plan to remain for the duration of my career. I have worked at four other highly regarded high schools, and I can honestly say that I have never worked at a school with a more intelligent, engaged, caring and energetic faculty. VVS students are bright, curious, community-minded, and determined to make their world better. I feel fortunate every day to live and work at such a special place.
A gem. An incredibly welcoming and kind small community in an unbelievable red rock setting. Classes are small, the teachers dedicated, the student body the most incredible group of people. There are not many places in the world where you can have the challenging IB curriculum taught with hands-on learning, and then you can ride horses or mountain bike world-class trails in the afternoon, and take two-week field trips to Guatemala, Mexico, Hopi, Utah canyons and the like every year. I'm glad that we found this place for our children.
