I believe that VHS is a great high school that really focuses on the future of the students who attend. There's so many amazing teachers who work at this school who will always listen to any troubles in class or out. Venice high sports are amazing and we are football and volleyball state champs of 2018 and hopefully this year as well. I also believe that they have a club for everyone at this school and it would be very difficult not to find one that is interesting. The only thing I would like to see changed would be the information giving on programs such as dual enrollment. The guidance counselors don't seem to really have a good understanding of how the program works and how to help if any issues come up. Also, the music program at this school deserves so much more credit than what they're getting. The kids in these programs work very hard, only to be outshined by the sports programs we offer.

So school has gates pretty much surrounding the school that are always closed and locked. It's great for security purposes which is important of course, but the downful of that is that there are a few classes that are outside of the gate. Since the gates are always locked and some of us have classes on both sides of the gate we have to go all the way around through the front office. The front office has a two doors seperating people from actually being inside the school. The first door is unlocked and anyone can come and go, but the second door is locked and the only people that can unlock it are two of the ladies in the front office by pressing a button. Most of the time when I walk in there never there or busy and not paying attention, so I usually just stand there and wait for them to notice me or I try to get there attention. The point of this short story is that there should be other entrances so I can get to my classes faster.
I enjoyed the ease of learning at Venice High. Their teachers were great and easy to understand. I had a few that were difficult and not the best but overall a great experience. I on would however like to see a further crack down on drugs, vaping, and alcohol. The problems are so common and they have begun to destroy the school environment and the people in it. Most people try these things because they are seeing such a large population doing them and i feel it needs to be more heavily addressed and enforced.
