After being an eighth grader in Vanguard for just over a semester now, I’m enjoying myself! Their education is the best that I have experienced, with a sense that my teachers care about me and treat each and every one of the students individually. The schedule is suitable, almost everyone having a study hall (mod), and an equal proportion of time to each class period, with a 10 minute break and hour lunch break included. The students here are sincere once you fit in, and seem to enjoy their life here. The one thing that I would like to see improve is the P.E. class. It doesn’t seem that it is organized to a point that everyone is participating in one thing, and I am not seeming to get enough out of this class because it is the same thing everyday. However, I am fully satisfied with all other aspects of this school, with great education and a variety of lunches catered.

All the teachers I've had in the six years I've been at Vanguard really care about their students. Thanks to them, the classes have the level of rigor that people come to expect for a college prep school. That doesn't mean that they leave students behind when we get to difficult subjects, though. They make sure that everyone understands thoroughly whatever topic is being covered. Most are available to answer questions in person in the short time before school starts or during the mid-morning break. All of them, however, are all available after school so students can get help on any questions they have. Also, many teachers respond to students' questions through email and text, even on the weekends!
My experience at Vanguard has been amazing, I’ve attended since 7th grade and am currently a Junior. The teachers are always willing to help you succeed in the classroom and are determined to prepare you for college. It has been one of the best experiences of my life, and I wouldn’t change it for anything!
