iTech Preparatory is a S.T.E.M. based school with a little over 250 students. I have attended their school for about 5 years now, and I absolutely love the program. My favorite thing is their "redo" policy; if you fail an assignment/test, you can retake it as many times as you want until you understand the concept. For the most part, teachers are very flexible and understanding of student schedules. The community itself is very accepting of a variety of people. In addition, our school is dedicated to getting their students college ready. With the amazing staff and easy access to multiple online resources, they are really successful with that goal. The only downside to this school is that it does not currently have its' own building, so the high school meets at the WSU campus. This complicates things sometimes, as we share space with the college. Additionally, if students would like to participate in any extra-curricular activities such as sports, they need to do it outside of iTech.

It is a well organized and close school that gives students interested in the Stem field a chance to understand what Stem is and any interests in the field. The smaller school always close connections with both teachers and students, overall creating a more enjoyable school environment. On top of this, the school provides internship opportunities, 1 on 1 help and project based learning to better your communication and presentation skills.
While I myself enjoyed attending iTech, there are several things that could dissuade students from attending. Most of the problems stem from how new the school is, with only its third graduating class in 2018. Because of this, the school is lacking in many ways, such as very few clubs and teams, a small number of teachers, and even not having a campus of its own. Despite these flaws, the school has a very strong academic program. iTech requires a higher number of credits to graduate than the state and district do. On top of that, iTech offers a STEM based curriculum and several college readiness classes for 12th grade students. Overall, iTech is a very nice school with much to offer, if one is willing to continue in spite of its problems, most of which are looking to be fixed in the near future.
