This school does not have a focus on onsite extracurriculars. There is a student newspaper, and a leadership club, but beyond that there are few activities. The school is small, and focuses more on ensuring troubled students graduate than providing extracurriculars. However, there are opportunities to enroll at extracurricular programs in other schools nearby. There is the Running Start program where high school juniors and seniors can enroll at Clark College and graduate with their diploma and AA degree by taking dual credit classes.

For a student with a lot of self-direction and motivation like myself this school is very easy to get good grades in. The teachers are very supportive and do as much as they can with the funding they are provided, and many buy extra supplies out of their own pockets. The curriculum is average, but gets the job done. If you pay attention, apply yourself, do your homework, and make an effort to understand what is being taught, you'll have no trouble earning good grades. The scheduling process is hectic but manageable, there are a lot of people trying to fill out the same form, but once you get your questions answered it's easy. The workload is not especially large or difficult, as long as you set aside the recommended time you'll be able to get everything done. Special study options are very good, there are online options for students who can't get to school often, and tutoring is available to those who ask. A lot of the students in attendance don't particularly like school, but that has little to do with the school itself. It's unfortunate that so many kids don't like school, but if you have a positive outlook this school is perfectly acceptable.
I feel that this school was a great fit for me because when I started in 7th grade it was the first school I had ever attended. The school was fairly small, and the teachers did whatever they could to help me adjust. Within a few years I went from apprehensive about school to absolutely loving it. This school may not be the best for social butterflies, or those who like a lot of clubs and extra activities. However for those who want a low conflict education or to enroll in a program like Running Start, this school is perfect. The small classes, attentive teachers, and supportive attitude were just what I needed to get comfortable with graduation and college. It is unique in its online and on campus program options, small sizes, home school schedule (you only have to attend 2-3 days a week), and individual support.
