I love this school so much! The people are always very friendly, and everyone knows everyone. This school has a very good education system, and focuses on getting students to be the best they can be through hard work and determination.
I've been going to Van Meter for 9 years now and I absolutely love it. I love the small town feel about it, everyone knows each other and their families. It's great to be a part of such a great community where everyone cares about the other people. The academics are great, as well as the extra curricular activities. Most of the students attending Van Meter, are involved in some sort of sport/club which makes it even more enjoyable for everyone. The teachers really care about you and your grades which is awesome because they are always available for extra help if needed. Van Meter has been great, would definitely recommend to future families.
I have gone to Van Meter since Kidergarten and it has truly been a blessing. The Van Meter community in itself is a whole-hearted small town where everyone truly cares for everyone. Whether you are a student, staff, or parent, being involved with all events is a given. Our school district provides fun and safe experiences for all. What is also emphasized is family and friend relationships. There is countless opportunities to share time together from the annual school carnival to all students in the district having a moment of silence for our fallen officers. Van Meter may be a small spot on the map, but that spot has thrived the lives in all who have known it.
