The teachers and administration was amazing. I always felt they went out of their way to create a relationship with their students. During covid, they were constantly checking in and making sure our health and mental health were well and priority over schoolwork. They care about us as people! Also, such a hyped student body which always makes games and school events more fun. As far as academics, the amount of dual credit they offer is amazing. I was able to get nearly two years of college done while still in high school.
The food is horrible. Most of the food is expired, such as the chips and cheese sticks. The vending machine’s snacks is honestly better than the food they serve. They care more about your attendance than about your grades. Some of the teachers make learning fun, and the others just want the day to be over and don’t care about their students at all. In all of the restrooms for girls, there are multiple stall doors that cannot lock. Most of the time the restrooms do not have soap in the soap dispensers, which is really unsanitary. As well as graffiti in the stalls that are poorly covered up. There is also toilet paper on the ground almost every time I walk into the restroom. Which isn’t the schools fault, it’s the students who don’t know how to pick up after themselves. The overpopulation is a serious issue. During passing period and lunch the hallways are seriously overcrowded.
Vallivue offers incredibly academic opportunity for it's students, with a wide range of electives offered as well. Not only are we prepared for college through these academics, but we are also guided along the path to finding a career that we will truly enjoy and flourish in. Although the arts department is lacking in some areas, it has gone incredible lengths to put on beautiful performances. I'd say the most amazing part of this school is the teachers hired here. Many of them have gone great lengths to teach students in the best possible way, while making a great community.
