Bleeding purple and black, monsoon at heart, shout out to Valley Vista High School. When someone says, “High School, I’d never go back.” Or “I hated it,” it doesn't even sit with me! My experience I could absolutely relive again. The teachers and administration deserve credit and appreciation for all of it too. They witnessed all of the good/bad times and stressful/bratty times. Sports and clubs was another reason why I loved High School. Being apart of the Varsity Pomline for four years receiving the first time National and back-to-back State Championship title was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Also, being apart of the Impact Dance Team was rewarding. Receiving the National Honor Society for Dance Arts award. Within this, I gained the best friendships with these four other girls who I stuck with throughout all of the years. Experiencing dances, pep assemblies, and all other school activities. If I could go back in a heartbeat, I would.

Valley Vista High School is a relatively young school with great potential- just lacking the ability to see things from a students perspective. This lack of "informal communication" with the kids is what has lead to behavioral issues in the past. Their teachers could likely put in more effort towards how the students feel versus what is displayed on paper as well, mostly in the higher level AP classes where students are overworked. There are a few phenomenal teachers that I, as a senior, will dearly miss though! But the overall campus was fairly average to me. The school spirit was average too which was disappointing- but Valley Vista does have a great campus when it comes to overall diversity as well as in clubs and sports!
Valley was great school! I went there all four years of my high school career. I loved the fact that everyone was so spirited and that everyone would put aside their differences and have fun together after school at all the sports games. I loved the rivalry between the schools and the jokes, it made it almost not always seem like school. Each class was great too. Everyone has friends everywhere and the teachers were all very kind and helpful and was there for you as a peer and a friend if you needed it.
