Valley High School has been nothing less than an excellent experience for both of my boys. My older son Has been home bound since his freshman year due to health issues and they have done an excellent job to help him stay on track academically. They have provided excellent counseling services and a teacher who comes to our home to Proctor exams. My younger son has been very active in athletics and extracurricular activities. Valley High School has a wide array of clubs and activities to allow students to get as involved as they would like! The school board system and all of the staff are absolutely amazing!
Parents get very involved to help support their kids activities and academics. Valley has a wide range of levels for academic classes including AP courses. Students have the opportunity of even achieving an associates degree by the time they graduate from high school. I cannot say enough about this High School! Highly recommend the school district!

Valley High School is an excellent school that I am proud to attend. It has lots of sports and clubs to participate in. The teachers are friendly and the school is overall welcoming. It is very diverse and the school puts forth a great effort to make sure that all students feel accepted and excited to learn. In terms of classes, there are hundreds to choose from that are also worth college credit! I enjoyed taking Drawing and Painting applications and recommend it to all students at Valley. If I could change something about my school, it would be to make the lunches have more variety and healthier. Most, if not all the lunches are pre-packaged or frozen meals. I would change the lunches so more foods were made from scratch, and there were more vegan/ vegetarian options.
Has lots of opportunities for extracurricular activities and school pride. People are proud of their school and sports games, band concerts, and fundraising events often have a good turn out.Students are friendly and counselors are helpful.Facilities are at top quality. The recent change in grading policy has left students very stressed and are seeing a fall in GPAs.The teachers are nice for the most part, but teachers take advantage of their students with excessive homework assignments, rigorous policies, and little opportunity for improvement even though school strives for it.Diversity of the school is lacking. Most of the students are wealthy white, or Asian kids with very little diversity in socioeconomic status and race. The few African-American and Hispanic students are often seen as inferior to others and are profiled a lot. The staff is not very racially diverse The lack of opportunity for kids with different social status makes kids from rough backgrounds at risk of failure.
