As soon as we walked in the door, this school felt like home. My husband and I visited a few schools in the area when our oldest was ready to start kindergarten, and we loved the community feeling at VCS. When I showed up to an event with my kindergartner, preschooler and baby, several of the older students made conversation with me and my kids and generally helped us all feel welcome. That speaks to the kind of character that this school nurtures. These kids are already shining their light!
We Really appreciate the caring staff, close family feel, and emphasis on Christian values.
We also value the various extra curricular activities offered in addition to high academic standards. There are regular weekly chapels and Bible class including community service projects for students and families.
It is small enough to be known but also big enough to offer things a comprehensive high school does like concurrent credit classes, college advisor assistance, competitive sports programs, band, yearbook, PTF, Booster Club, foreign language and international student home stay hosting opportunities.
If you are a home school family they have services to help with that too.

We have been involved with this school for over 20 years. First as students and now as parents of students. While it isn't a perfect school you will find teachers who genuinely love and care about the kids, quality education (no common core here!) and lots of extra curricular activities. For the last 8 years we have been part of the home school program at VCS and would definitely recommend this program to others!
