Valencia High School is a highly ranked school in California in academics and athletics. Valencia High School is a wonderful school that gives students a quality education that pushes them and prepares them for the future in college. There are many teachers that truly care about you, and there are various programs, such as the ValTech Techand IB Program, which allows students to find out more about the careers that they want to pursue in the future through internships. However, although Valencia High School boasts amazing academics, the overall school culture and other aspects of education other than academics must be changed for the better.
IB and a school technology program (ValTech) is offered here, leaving the academics very rigorous for those who choose to take one or the other, and our chemistry department is very strong. A few of the teachers are amazing, but the majority are average. As a member of several clubs, we host volunteer events and meetings pretty often. Our music department is weak due to only one orchestra teacher running all 5 orchestras at our school. The restrooms and classrooms are relatively clean, though I've heard some bad stuff about the boys' restrooms. There's a diverse student population (mainly asian and hispanic) and I always feel safe here.
My experience at Valencia High School was overall very good due to the school's diversity, college readiness, and sports. I was an overall very involved student who appreciated all of the various opportunities that aided in the contribution of my career as an individual by offering after school college courses and various clubs that shared my common interests. However, the overall organization of certain clubs and activities were definitely unorganized. In addition, there was an unspoken amount of biased towards certain programs and students within the school that neglected the rest of the students and overlooked their potential.
