Well I love the teachers at Utica High school. The graduating class of 2022 is something different though. We are on big family, we get along with each other and care about each other more than words can describe. The class of 2022 at Utica high school has experienced loss, two classmates have died. And one classmate lost his father his senior year and we all supported him. We can rely on each other for help. The class can lean on each in times of need and grief and I’m proud to be a part of the class of 2022. There could be some changes at the school, especially in the bullying area. Little to nothing is done about it and I believe it could be improved drastically.
Overall, this high school did a poor job preparing me for college and the real-world after college. My most valuable "life skills" class was a personal finance elective. Besides this class, efforts did not seem to be taken to teach about taxes, investing, and other valuable life skills. The majority of the teachers are great people though.
I loved going to utica high school, the teacher want the best for students. Althought the sports arent always having winning season their is a good amount of support from the student body. Being part of that culture largely affected who I am today and I will never forget my time there.
