UCAS is an amazing school! It's an early college high-school where you get to take tons of concurrent enrollment classes and you can graduate high school with an associates degree. I think it's fantastic! While there aren't many clubs, and we have no sports or fine arts programs, it is such a wonderful environment to learn in. The class sizes are small, allowing for more personal connection and better learning. This school encourages students to find themselves and what career paths they want to go down, and it's very helpful. You definitely need to be more academically-motivated to do well at this school, but even if you are lacking in some areas, our teachers and staff do a lot to help each student one-on-one, and you will always get the help you need. Despite the focus on academics, the small school size promotes closer friendships with students, and it's really amazing. I highly recommend this school for people looking for great learning and even better friendships!
Utah Valley Academy of Sciences is an amazing school in all aspects except administration. While the administration is focused on student success, they fail to also focus on student health and safety. The admin prioritizes out-of-fashion and outdated dress codes and standards of individuality. The preceding always comes first before student safety. I've seen multiple instances where students have gone so far as to break the law and seriously harm other students, the type of infringement where else where expelling the student would be the only fitting option the admin is focused on the dress code instead of the safety of their students.
It's a great place to be! I love going here, and the overall environment is amazing, with teachers willing to help whenever possible, and small classes so you get more attention to help you succeed in all your classes.
