I really liked going to an all-girls school because it really empowered us and made us more confident and crazy when there was no pressure to act a certain way around guys. That being said, sometimes I feel like the administration missed invaluable opportunities to address very relevant issues like the #MeToo movement. The teachers are amazing, and the other girls are great. One thing, though, was the amount of stress that we all put on ourselves, although you'd be hard pressed to find a high school where this doesn't happen. I will admit that some girls were very unhappy because of this stress. This school has a lot of wonderful traditions, which is something that you won't find at many other high schools, like intramurals, community service, and freshman dance. I wouldn't change anything!

The all girls environment was definitely my favorite part of Ursuline Academy. Every girl bonds over the lack of makeup worn on a daily basis and our "I just rolled out of bed" appearance became the norm. However, the administration is very strict about odd things. As a high school senior I would like to be able to wear a college sweatshirt but it is not allowed. After four years at a college prep school you would think Ursuline would be proud to have its seniors display their accomplishment of college. During my four years here I have discovered that Ursuline is such a bubble. We do not get many real life experiences even with our high tuition. That is another thing, nothing is covered by tuition... not books, uniform, or even food!
Ursuline Academy of Dallas is an all-girls Catholic high school that promotes academic excellence, leadership, and a heart of service for young women. The education students at Ursuline receive is excellent and prepares students well for college. Although rigorous, the course load teaches discipline and organization. The community and culture of the school is close knit and familial, and the spirit of the school comes from its motto "serviam," which is Latin for "I will serve." There are many ways for students to get involved and grow in their leadership abilities. Through clubs, student organizations, school trips, and sports teams, there is something for everyone who attends Ursuline.
