My experience at Urban Prep was good. The culture at Urban Prep is very strong. We learn to BELIEVE in everything we do and say. Another big thing at Urban Prep is every young man that walk though their door for Freshmen academy becomes your BROTHER. We all stay to gather do to us all BELIEVING in each other. A line in the our creed is that " WE BELIEVE IN OURSELVES. WE BELIEVE IN URBAN PREP. WE BELIEVE." and spending four years at Urban Prep these become some the most important words that I have ever spoken.

At Urban Prep, your safety was one of the main focus of the teachers & staff. Bullying was something that wasn't tolerated from any of the students and if caught bullying, there would be major consequences. The security we had also did a good job in making sure fights wouldn't break out. Or if students were disrupting teacher and other students in class, they were quick to escort them out. They didn't really provide good health services in my opinion.
This school had teachers who did care for the students and their grades. They kept in good contact with parents to let the them know where their child was positioned in class academically and they were also consistent in making sure the students turned in all of our work with the best of our capability. Also getting their students into college was very important for the instructors at this school. They made sure we applied to colleges and scholarships as well as they saw it as a very important opportunity for success. Every student in the school had an adviser who really cared and communicated with us more than often making sure we stay on track and if we had any concerns we could talk to them about it.
