Uplift Williams Preparatory - Primary School Reviews
Rating 3.5 out of 5 12 reviews
Williams Preparatory was probably one of the best schools I could've attended, rather than going to just any public school. It made me grow throughout the years and it made me realize that I could really turn out to be someone successful. At many other schools, teachers just teach for a paycheck, but at Williams, teachers taught to encourage, help us grow, and help us succeed. We were not just a paycheck to them, teachers and staff genuinely cared about our well being and our future. Despite the late juniors year afternoons studying for ACTs and SATs to grow our average points, we were all really a big family waiting to step into the real world that the teachers all talked about. Williams taught me that not everything came easy and that especially for low or middle income students, it would be harder to succeed, but it would be totally worth it one day.
I love the teacher's and that they provide afterschool tutoring. I would like for them to have more after school programs or clubs. The only thing I dont like is that the teacher makes my son calls me when he misbehaves in class. I work and only take emergency calls. When I see a call from the school it scares me I think is a bad news or something.
The school does offer many classes, but can add more interesting subjects such as learing other languages.
Health and safety polices are rigours among all staff and students.
The soccer team is predicted to be an organization for both girls and boys to have the most fun and support by staff and parents
Williams has some of the best teachers in the country. The teaching styles help students understand different topics that relate to the real world, for example, The free market and other important factors of life. In addition, the knowledge of the students about the following topics : Globalization, morals, ethics, 2008 Recession, theory have helped scholars understand deeper meanings. Communication between the staff and students is fair and organized. The grading system can be a challenge for many individuals, but it's worth trying.
The afterschool programs are okay, but not the best. I believe it is because of the budget the school flows in that we do not have that many sports nor afterschool programs.
As an Overall experience in this school has been descent enough to say it is worth it. However, I do believe it could have been better to end my experience here at this school. For over 6 years of experience in this school, things and systems could have been better. I remember how back when I was in 6th grade there were often more events and school activities/clubs to be involved in. As the years progressed events started to disappear, systems began to become unorganized.
The teacher in the Primary Building are really great at doing their jobs. They are very influential and encouraging to keep pushing kids to come to school.
There's not a lot of bulling seeing around
